Itinerary of Vacation activities

Day 1 : San Francisco – Turkey, Istanbul

We will take the flight to Turkey from San Francisco, with a change of plane in Europe and dinner and breakfast on board.
Day 2 : Arrival in Istanbul

Welcome to Istanbul! You will be transferred to your hotel and the rest of the day is free. Tonight you will have a welcome meeting with your group, dinner and overnight in Istanbul.
Day 3: Istanbul

After breakfast, visit the Hagia Sophia Museum (the Church of Divine Wisdom, built by Justinian). In the words of one 6th-century historian, "it had not existed since Adam and would never exist again." Next, visit the Hippodrome, where chariot races and athletic events were held during Roman times. Continuation to the Mosque of Suleiman the Magnificent. In the afternoon, we visited Topkapi Palace. Dinner and overnight in Istanbul.
Day 4 : Istanbul – Izmir

After breakfast, with our luggage in hand, we proceed to check out the hotel. We will drive towards Izmir and we will arrive in Pergamon at noon. Pergamos (Bergama) is the place where Saint John wrote to the Church of Pergamon about where Satan's throne is located. Visit the Pergamon Church, the red court, and the Acropolis. After lunch, we headed to visit Thyatira, which was the fourth of the seven churches in Asia Minor to receive an epistle from the apostle John. Dinner and overnight in Izmir.
Day 5: Smyrna – Sardis – Philadelphia – Laodicea – Pamukkale

Breakfast in the hotel, Visit ancient Smyrna (Rev. 2: 8–11), Sardis (Rev. 3: 1-4) with its gymnasium, and then Philadelphia (Rev. 3: 7–13), where we finish at the ruins of Laodicea (Col 2:1, Rev. 3:14), dinner and overnight in Pamukkale.
Day 6: Pamukkale – Bodrum

Breakfast at the hotel. Visit Pamukkale, Cotton Castles and Heirapolis, including the magnificently preserved necropolis, main street, gates, thermal baths, Greco-Roman theater and St. Philip's Basilica. Swim in a therapeutic mineral hot spring bath. We will then head to Bodrum for the night; the rest of the day is free to explore the city at your own pace. Dinner and overnight in Bodrum
Day 7: Trip to the Island of Patmos

We will head to the port and take the public ferry from Bodrum to Patmos. You can visit St. John's Cave and then we will take the ferry back to Bodrum. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel in Kusadasi. Dinner and accommodation.
Day 8: Ephesus

Today we will visit Ephesus, the home of Saint Paul between 53 AD. and 57 AD., to visit the most impressive archaeological site today. On a tour of Ephesus, visit the theater, the terrace house, the Church of Saint John and the remains of the temple of Artemis. Dinner and overnight in Kusadasi.
Day 9: Arrival by plane from Kusadasi, visits to Corinth and Mycenae

With our luggage, departure from the hotel to the city of Athens, arrival at the port of Athens, meeting with our guide and driver, departure with our luggage, visits of the day in ancient Corinth (Act 18) and Mycenae. Dinner and overnight in Athens.
Day 10: Athens

Breakfast at the hotel. Tour the Parthenon, Mars Hill and the Ancient Romans. Dinner and overnight in Athens
Day 11 : Athens, Rome

We left the hotel after breakfast. Morning flight to Rome and tour of Ancient Rome Meet your driver at the airport and proceed on a panoramic tour of the Colosseum, Circus Maximus, Bocca della Verità, Castel Sant'Angelo, Via della Conciliazione, Palazzo del Tribunale, Via Veneto, and Piazza della Repubblica. Return to the hotel to register. Free afternoon for your own explorations. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 12: The Vatican

Breakfast at the hotel. Visit the Vatican, the Sistine Chapel and Raphael's rooms. Breakfast and visit the Vatican City (duration: approximately 4 hours). If the tour dates include a Wednesday in Rome, it is possible to provide the papal audience pass and accompany the group to St. Peter's Square for the papal audience in the morning, and at the end of the papal blessing, a guided tour of the museum from the Vatican. Our tour guide will guide you through the treasures preserved in the museums, also visiting the Sistine Chapel with Michelangelo's masterpieces, including the Last Judgment and St. Peter's Basilica. Transfer back to the hotel. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 13: Colosseum – Lunch included

Breakfast at the hotel. Get to know imperial Rome by touring the Roman Forum, the Colosseum and the Mamertina prison where Paul was held.

Meet your guide in the hotel lobby and begin your walking tour of Imperial Rome (duration: approx. 3 hours). Welcome to one of the most incredible avenues in the world: Via dei Fori Imperiali. It starts on the slopes of the Capitol, behind the Piazza di Venezia. We begin with a visit to one of the most impressive and unknown corners of Rome, Trajan's Market (from the outside).
Day 14: Catacombs

After breakfast, meet your guide at the hotel and begin the Christian tour with the Basilicas of Rome and the Catacomb. Pizza lunch during the tour. Free time in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 15: Homecoming

Breakfast at the hotel, then transfer to the airport for the flight home.

Recommended type of clothing

Appropriate attire is casual, comfortable and beachy. It is advisable to wear comfortable shoes (at least two pairs). It is also advisable to have swimming supplies and clothing, if you wish. For holy sites, even in summer, it is advisable to cover up to the knees (that is, without shorts), arms and shoulders (shirts), and, in some places, cover the head with some type of mantilla, shawl, or handkerchief. If you want to dress in shorts and/or sleeveless, always have a “modest” alternative to cover up when necessary. Hats are essential in hot weather and in places with beaches. Although it is a tropical climate, a light jacket is needed for the evenings and maybe a little rain. Wear appropriate clothing if you are baptized, as well as if you are renewing your marriage vows. Don't forget sunglasses and sunscreen!
