Itinerary of Vacation activities

  • Day 1: Exit

Today we embark on the Exodus journey, where we will walk in the footsteps of Jesus. Prepare for a life-changing experience as we board our flight to Amman, Jordan.

  • Day 2: Arrival in Amman, Jordan

Upon arrival, we meet our guide and driver, who will transport us to the hotel for dinner and rest for the rest of the night. Accommodation in Petra.

  • Day 3: Petra

After breakfast, we will proceed to drive to the "City of the Red Rose" and one of the Seven Wonders of the World, Petra. Be prepared to do a lot of walking on the sand and rocks, as this tour will take a maximum of 4 hours, depending on your walking pace. Petra is Jordan's largest attraction and was first established around the 6th century BC. by the Nabataean Arabs, a nomadic tribe who settled in the area and laid the foundations of a commercial empire that extended to Syria. Walk through the canyon or the so-called Siq to see the most beautiful monument—the Treasury Building, rising to more than 140 feet—and continue along the street facades to the royal tombs. You will have some free time after exploring on your own. Dinner and overnight at the Dead Sea.

  • Day 4: Dead Sea - Bethany - Mt Nebo - Dead Sea

After breakfast, we visit the place of baptism, known as "Bethany beyond the Jordan" (Al-Maghtas). Located on the eastern bank of the Jordan River, nine kilometers north of the Dead Sea, the archaeological site consists of two distinct areas: Tell Al-Kharrar, also known as Jabal Mar-Elias (Elijah Hill), and the area of the churches of San Juan Bautista near the river. Situated in a pristine natural environment, the site is believed to be where Jesus of Nazareth was baptized by John the Baptist. It has Roman and Byzantine remains that include churches and chapels, a monastery, caves that have been used by hermits, and pools in which baptisms were celebrated, testifying to the religious character of the place. Departure to the “City of Mosaics,” Madaba, where you can find the famous mosaic map of Jerusalem and the Holy Land from the 6th century in the Church of St. George, as well as other mosaics in the Archaeological Museum. Drive for 9.5 km, taking a 15-minute drive to Mt. Nebo, which sits approximately 710 meters (2,330 feet) above sea level, overlooking the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and parts of the Holy Land. It was mentioned in the Bible as the place where Moses was granted to see the Promised Land before he died and supposedly his burial place. Dinner and overnight at the Dead Sea.

  • Day 5: Jeraza - Sheik Hussein-Israel Border

After breakfast, our driver will meet you in the lobby of your hotel with your luggage to finish our tour of Jordan, driving for 133 km and taking 2.30 hours to reach Jeraz. Upon arrival at the monumental Southgate, he will be with you for an hour to visit the spectacular forum, the Roman columns, the Nymphaeum and the Temple of Artemis. Jeraza is the best example of a Roman provincial city in the entire Middle East. You will have free time to explore for one more hour alone. That ends your tour in Jordan. Drive for 87.2 km and take 1.48 hours to the Sheikh Hussein border, entry into Israel, dinner and overnight in Tiberias (Galilee).

  • Day 6: Friday, September 8, 2023

After breakfast, we'll visit the Talmudic village of Katzrin, a reconstructed town that has come to life on the actual location of a Talmudic-era town, discovered shortly after the Six-Day War. The settlement was one of twenty-seven towns in central Golan. In the village, you can see an authentic old olive oil press and wander through the museum and reconstructed kitchen, pantry, living room, bedroom, and patio, all complete with objects from everyday life, many of which are authentic. They were used by farmers in the region until recently, bringing the scriptures to life for visitors and suddenly making them so tangible. Additionally, thanks to a special arrangement, bread baking, pottery, and olive pressing can be organized to provide an ancient, complete, and authentic experience. Then we'll visit the Mount of Beatitudes, where Jesus gave perhaps his most famous and ever-preached sermon: ''The Sermon on the Mount'' (Matthew 5). We will continue to Capernaum, the center of Jesus' ministry in Galilee and the site of many of his miracles (Mark 2:4; Matthew 8:5; 14–17; 9:1–7; 17:18). We will see the remains of Peter's house and the site of the synagogue where Jesus taught and worshiped God (Mark 1:21; Luke 4:31). We'll finish with a boat trip on the Sea of Galilee. After dinner, you can take a walk along the shores of the Sea of Galilee. Accommodation in the Galilee.

  • Day 7: Magdala - Yardenit - Cana, Jerusalem

After breakfast, we will leave Galilee and begin our day with a visit to Magdala. The homeland of Mary Magdalene (Luke 8:1-2) already offers pilgrims the opportunity to visit a site where Jesus walked and taught and to relive the experience of the first followers of Jesus, among whom Mary Magdalene was counted in a special way. The above makes Magdala a special place in the Holy Land, having a city from the first century where the inhabitants met in the synagogue and where Jesus surely was and taught. Next is the visit to Yardenit, commemorating the baptism of Jesus by his cousin John. After lunch, we continue to Cana for couples who want to renew their marriage vows and visit the ancient church located in this city. We will triumphantly enter Jerusalem. Dinner and accommodation.

  • Day 8: Jerusalem

We will begin with a panoramic tour of the city, Mount Moriah and the Dome of the Rock from the Mount of Olives. We will continue towards the Garden of Gethsemane and have time to meditate. We will walk through the Torrente del Cedron and pass near the Golden Entrance. Upon arriving in Jerusalem, we will enter through Stephen's Gate to visit the Pool of Bethesda, where Jesus healed a paralyzed man. Then we have to travel parts of the Via Dolorosa. We will also visit the Tomb of King David and the Cenacle, the site where Jesus had his last supper before being arrested. We will visit Mount Zion to visit the house of Caiphas the priest, where Jesus was interrogated the night Judas betrayed him. A special moment at the Garden Tomb was the Holy Supper. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.

  • Day 9: Jerusalem

After breakfast, we will enter the ancient city through the garbage gate to visit the Davidson Center for a greater understanding of the Temple period. We will visit the South Stairs and the incredible excavations. We will see the ruins and the Robinson Arch before departing for our lunch in the wonderful city that had the honor of seeing our Messiah Bethlehem born! We will visit Shepherds Field, the Church of the Nativity and the Manger. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.

  • Day 10: Jericho - Qumran - Masada

After an early breakfast, we will drive to Jericho, the oldest visited city in the world and the first city conquered by Joshua after leading the people of Israel to the promised land by the divided waters of the Jordan River. View the Mount of Temptations, where Jesus was tempted by the devil after forty days and forty nights of fasting. We will go to the Dead Sea area until we descend to the lowest point in the world, 1305 feet (398 m) below sea level. We will visit Masada, and we will ascend to the top of the fortress by cable car. Our walk among the ruins of this historic site is enhanced by the fantastic view of the Dead Sea. Visit of Qumran, where a young man discovered in 1948 the scrolls written by the ancient sect of Jews who lived in the caves of the area in the time of Jesus. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.Dinner and accommodation.

  • Day 11 : Jerusalem

Very early in the morning, we will visit the Neot Kedumim Park. We will have two important activities: Abram (Hebrew) and The biblical society as a whole had a patriarchal character in which men had authority and power. After the death of his father, he became the eldest son and the head of the family. It was a tribal society and marriage took place within the tribe; a brother derived from brotherhood, but reality shows jealousy, betrayal, loyalty and sacrifice, and to finish, we are going to herd sheep! It will be an activity to never forget. Balance of the day off. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.

  • Day 12: Homecoming

Departure and arrival home with eternal memories of the Holy Land.

Recommended type of clothing

Appropriate attire is casual, comfortable and beachy. It is advisable to wear comfortable shoes (at least two pairs). It is also advisable to have swimming supplies and clothing, if you wish. For holy sites, even in summer, it is advisable to cover up to the knees (that is, without shorts), arms and shoulders (shirts), and, in some places, cover the head with some type of mantilla, shawl, or handkerchief. If you want to dress in shorts and/or sleeveless, always have a “modest” alternative to cover up when necessary. Hats are essential in hot weather and in places with beaches. Although it is a tropical climate, a light jacket is needed for the evenings and maybe a little rain. Wear appropriate clothing if you are baptized, as well as if you are renewing your marriage vows. Don't forget sunglasses and sunscreen!
